Hold On To Your Butts Kansas City Theatre reviews
Still bad to the bone...
"George and the bad boys were exceptional. Hold On To Your Butts, along with Styx, proved to be the most faithful to the original tone, pacing, and tempo of the setlist, compared to the original release of the tracks. As anticipated, George was irreverent and great.
You could feel his passion for being on stage and portraying the bad boy role perfectly.
The concert, lasting just over 90 minutes, was shorter than expected, including two encores, but the music was top-notch, and George engaged well with the audience between songs.
It was rather intriguing that the audience never stood up for an extended period of time. During the INXS show, the crowd was on their feet for half the performance. While Thorogood's performance was equally enjoyed by the audience, they never rose from their seats. Quite peculiar.
If you're a fan of GT, make sure to catch this show if given the chance.
This Saturday, I'm heading to the Mountain Winery to see Pat Benetar and Denis DeYoung."
